Who we are
The School Garden Doctor incorporated in 2018 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering educators to grow school gardens.
Today, we nurture a collective approach to creating and sustaining inclusive and accessible environmental science, outdoor-, nature-, and garden-based programs.
Our vision
We believe in the healing power of plants. Human connection to land and landscape predates our modern life of constant business and exploitive consumption. We envision a more balanced existence that is more aligned to natural systems, especially for historically marginalized groups.

We empower educators to embrace experiential, plant-forward learning through school gardens and outdoor classrooms.
We engage community-based organizations to embrace equity-focused approaches that (re)connect people with the planet.
