Upcoming Events to Mark the Monarch Butterfly’s Return

Speaking Up for Monarchs: Talk About Taking Action

Attending events that celebrate our flagship species is one of the ways we can repair our relationship to nature and heal environmental wounds. Attend The Bay Area Butterfly Festival on Sunday, June 1st, from 10am-5pm on Mare Island in Vallejo to learn more about taking action for monarchs.

Dedicating Our First Monarch Waystation

On March 11, the Dirt Girls of NVLA celebrated the dedication of their Monarch Waystation, engaging participants in a structured program that included teamwork challenges and garden tours. The event highlighted teamwork, problem solving, and conservation education, culminating in a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Monarch Waystation will be open for public viewing on May 17.
